After spending eight months behind bars, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino swears he's on the verge of a comeback.
The Jersey Store star was released from prison in New York Thursday after pleading guilty to tax evasion, NBC News reports. Immediately after becoming a free man again, he went on a mad retweeting spree, using the hashtag "#FreeSitch" to celebrate. The cast of Jersey Shore previously used this hashtag while lobbying for his early release in Washington, D.C. just a few weeks ago.
"We are elated to finally close this chapter of our life," Sorrentino and his wife said in a statement, ABC News reports. "...We truly believe that the comeback is ALWAYS greater than the setback and we can't wait to show the world ours."
Naturally finding it impossible to get through that entire statement without dropping the word situation at least once, Sorrentino and his wife also let the world know they will now be "working on baby situations!"
The 37-year-old reality star pleaded guilty last year after allegedly falsifying tax returns along with his brother, who received a longer, two-year sentence that he is still serving. Sorrentino was ordered to 500 hours of community service, CNN reports. He served time in the same facility as President Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, and Fyre Festival founder Billy McFarland. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi previously told E! News he was "having the time of his life" in prison. Brendan Morrow
