I read it in the tabloids
A pair of crooks who used a drone to fly drugs into a Scottish prison were busted after they accidentally filmed themselves with the gadget. Paul Reilly and Michael Martin didn’t realize the drone’s camera was recording as they loaded the device with pills and marijuana. But when the drone crashed in the yard at Perth Prison, guards found 18 minutes of incriminating video, including images of the gang’s house address. Reilly and Martin were sentenced to four years in prison. “If there was an award for the movie with the most inept director,” said a prosecutor, “then it would have been won by the accused.”
A Utah family is out more than $1,000 after their toddler found an envelope stuffed with cash and fed it into a shredder. Two-year-old Leo Belnap often helps his mom, Jackee, shred junk mail, so when he saw the fat envelope—filled with cash for football season tickets—he knew just what to do. Leo’s parents frantically searched the house for the cash, and eventually found the shredded bills in the trash. Jackee cried for a minute, then saw the funny side. “This was one of those moments where you just have to laugh,” she said.
An Ohio man has become an internet celebrity after another driver filmed him cruising down the highway with a cow in the back seat of his pickup truck, its head poking out the window. Cory Morris adopted Annie the cow when she was 1 day old. Annie is now 18 months, weighs 800 pounds, and often rides with Morris. Her favorite destination is McDonald’s, where Morris treats her to an ice cream. When Morris is asked why he has a cow in the back seat, he responds, “Where else would I put her?” ■
