Almost all of the children who had been staying at a Border Patrol station in Clint, Texas, have been removed from the facility, following reports that the kids were hungry and living in filthy conditions. The Associated Press reported last week that lawyers visiting the detention center were shocked to learned children weren't given access to showers and were complaining of hunger, while some of the older kids were taking care of sick toddlers because there weren't enough workers. More than 300 children were housed at the facility, described by Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-Texas) as being "inhumane," but only 30 remain. Migrants are not supposed to stay at Border Patrol stations longer than 72 hours, but some of the kids had been there for three weeks.
